CARRAGEENAN KB Type

    Carrageenan KB type is a compound powder specially used for manufacturing gummy candy. With little amount, it makes Panocha temperature between freezing and infusion. It does not stick to teeth and not influenced by season. Amount of usage is between 0.8% and 1.5%.

    We produce three grades of carrageenan KB type. They can be divided as follows:

Grade Gel strength (1.5%, 20oC) Transparency Color Usage portion
Super grade ≥900 g/cm2 Pure transparence White 0.8 - 1.2%
1rst grade ≥600 g/cm2 High White or slightly yellow 0.8 - 1.2%
2nd grade ≥500 g/cm2 Common White or slightly yellow 1 - 1.5%

 

 

    The specification of carrageenan KB type is as follows:

Particle size ≥60-80 mesh
Moisture ≤12-15%
Ash ≤13-20%
Arsenic (As) ≤3 mg/kg
Heavy metals (Pb) ≤5 mg/kg
